Stephanie’s Istanbul Tips

(Turkish) Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!

Istanbul is the one place you never want to skip breakfast! Turkish breakfast might be the single greatest meal on the face of the planet, so make sure to try it!

Indulge in Istanbul with a Turkish Bath

A visit to a traditional hammam is one of the most delightful and pleasant things you can do after a long day of sightseeing. There are a ton of different ones to choose from, so feel free to test out more than one!

Get out of Sultanahmet

While the big historic core is obviously a huge draw, there are so many amazing things to do outside of this region. Cross the Galata Bridge and make your way through interesting neighborhood after interesting neighborhood. Istanbul is one of the largest cities in the world, so don’t limit yourself to one area!

Don’t Skip Islamic History

A lot of North American tourists get charmed by Istanbul’s Roman and Christian sites (and who can blame them). However, there are over five hundred years of Islamic art and history to explore here, too.
